The NUWAY plugin for WordPress adds your NUWAY chat widget to every page of your WordPress site. Visitors chat with your AI workers right on your website. All you need is your Company ID: the plugin does not use your API key.

Before you start

  • A WordPress site where you can install plugins (administrator access).
  • Your NUWAY Company ID (see the next step).
  • The WordPress and PHP versions the plugin supports are listed on its WordPress.org page.

1. Find your Company ID

  1. Log in to the NUWAY dashboard at app.nuway.co.
  2. In the left menu, open Web Chat → Settings.
  3. Copy the number shown under Company ID.

2. Install the plugin

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  2. Search for Nuway.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

You can also download the plugin from wordpress.org/plugins/nuway and upload it under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.

3. Connect the plugin

  1. Click Nuway in the left menu of your WordPress admin.
  2. Paste your Company ID into the Company ID box.
  3. Click Submit.

The page shows an Installed badge once the ID is saved.

4. Test it

  1. Open any page of your site in a private browser window.
  2. The NUWAY chat widget appears in the bottom corner.
  3. Send a test message and check that your AI worker answers.

Troubleshooting

  • The widget does not appear: make sure the plugin is version 1.0.8 or newer (Plugins → Installed Plugins). Older versions did not load the widget; update the plugin.
  • Still not showing after an update: clear the cache of any caching or optimization plugin (and your CDN, if you use one), then reload the page.
  • "Invalid ID!" when saving: the box accepts only the Company ID itself, with no spaces or other characters. Copy it again from Web Chat → Settings in the NUWAY dashboard.

Update or remove the plugin

  • Update: go to Plugins → Installed Plugins and click Update now under NUWAY when an update is available.
  • Remove: go to Plugins → Installed Plugins, click Deactivate under NUWAY, then Delete. The chat widget disappears from your site.
